RCMP are handing out tickets like they are candy in Nanaimo — and they are being warmly received by the city’s youth.
It’s called a positive ticketing campaign. Since June, 2012, Nanaimo RCMP have handed out more than 3,000 tickets to youth spotted doing good deeds in the Vancouver Island city.
