Within hours of announcing his candidacy for Vancouver mayor, NPA nominee Kirk LaPointe started a commotion on Twitter with his campaign promise to bring free Wi-Fi to the city, starting with low-income neighbourhoods.
Trevor Loke, the Vision-backed commissioner on the Vancouver Park Board, quickly noted on Twitter that the NPA opposed his proposal for free Wi-Fi in the city’s parks, beaches and public spaces.
