One person is in critical condition after a stabbing in the centre area of Surrey on Wednesday.
Shortly before 2 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a call regarding an assault with a weapon in the area of 135A Street and 108th Avenue.
When they arrived, officers arrested a suspect, who was found running away from the scene.
The victim was located nearby and transported to a local area hospital in critical condition. Police have not yet released the victim’s gender or age.
A second victim was also located nearby with serious but non-life threatening injuries, however, investigators are not sure if the two incidents are related.
Officers are canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking to several witnesses as part of an ongoing investigation.
