Mounties in Surrey are investigating after a body was found Wednesday by a hiker near 88th Avenue and King George Boulevard.
Shortly before 3 p.m., Surrey RCMP were called to Quibble Creek just north of 88th Avenue in the 13600-block.
RCMP say a hiker spotted the body near the creek and contacted police. Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit and the BC Coroner’s Service are investigating.
Surrey RCMP spokesman Cpl. Scotty Schumann says it’s too early in the investigation to say whether the death is suspicious. The identity of the person has not yet been determined.
