Metro Vancouver — One man was seriously injured in an early-morning shooting in Surrey on Tuesday.
Surrey Mounties say shortly before 3 a.m., officers responded to a report that a man had been shot near King George Boulevard and 108th Avenue.
When they arrived, the officers found the man suffering from a single gunshot wound to his abdomen. The victim was transported to hospital in serious, but non-life threatening condition. The victim was with another man who was not injured in the shooting.
Investigators believe two men were walking in the area when they were passed by two unknown male suspects on bicycles who fired a single shot at the men.
Surrey RCMP’s General Investigation Unit is leading the investigation. Both the male victim and his associate are known to police.
