Surrey RCMP investigators are at a residence in the 10800-block of 143 Street after another shooting Tuesday about 7:30 p.m.
“Officers attended and located a male suffering from non-life threatening injuries who has been transported to local area hospital in stable condition,” S.Sgt. Joe Johal said in a news release.
“Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is a targeted incident.”
There have been more than a dozen shootings in Surrey so far this year alone – here are the ones in the last week:
• March 20 – 6:50 a.m., shots were fired in the 11000-block of 132 Street.
• March 18 – 2 a.m., shots fired near 144th Street and 92nd Avenue. A 23-year old Surrey man was wounded and took himself to hospital.
