Extreme weather has led to B.C. Ferries cancelling Monday sailings between Tsawwassen and the Southern Gulf Islands.
The following Queen of Burnaby sailings have been cancelled:
3:15 p.m. departing Long Harbour
4:05 p.m. departing Otter Bay
4:55 p.m. departing Village Bay
5:35 p.m. departing Sturdies Bay
7:20 p.m. departing Tsawwassen
8:25 p.m. departing Sturdies Bay
8:55 p.m. departing Village Bay
9:40 p.m. departing Otter Bay
A wind warning, with gusts as high as 70 km/h, is in effect for the Southern Gulf Islands.
“Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur,” Environment Canada said in a release. “Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.”
