Out-going Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts has chosen Coun. Linda Hepner as her successor for mayoral candidate.
Hepner, who has served nine years on Surrey council, will lead the Surrey First slate in the November municipal election.

Vancouver Sun reporter Kelly Sinosk Tweeted that Hepner said she will continue to address crime and push for light rail if elected.
