A Surrey judge says that gang associate Glenn Sheck’s Charter rights were violated by lengthy court delays in his firearms’ trial, but rejected a bid to drop criminal charges in the case as a result.
Provincial Court Judge James Bahen said there were a number of reasons why Sheck’s case took more than 42 months to get to sentencing, including constitutional challenges launched by Sheck’s legal team.
