CUPE education workers in three Okanagan school districts served 72-hour strike notice on Thursday, the union said in a news release.
The three districts are Okanagan Similkameen, Okanagan Skaha and North Okanagan Shuswap. All three districts bargain together and have a single collective agreement with about 1,150 members in CUPE Local 523.
The union said their bargaining committee is frustrated over the employer group’s demand for a claw back of long-term disability savings.
