B.C. has the distinction of having highest percentage of children living in poverty of all Canadian provinces, statistics show.
Using the 2011 before-tax, low-income cut-off statistics, 153,000 or 18.6 of all B.C. children are living in poverty and struggling to meet basic expenses.
