A $62.2-million seismic upgrade and renewal project will begin this fall at Kitsilano Secondary.
The school has been a high priority for seismic upgrades for some time, but the project was complicated by a desire to preserve the heritage facade from the section of the school built in 1927.
Bouygues Building Canada has been awarded a fixed-price contract to design and build the project, which is funded by the Ministry of Education’s seismic mitigation program....
