The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is trying to increase its number of aboriginal staff members by attending cultural events, and allegedly spying on First Nations in order to “collect data.”
The CSIS 2012-13 national recruitment plan — obtained through a Access to Information Request by the Media Co-op (see the full document here) — states only 55 of the service’s 3300 employees are aboriginal, Metis or Inuit.
