A former president of the B.C. School Trustees’ Association (BCSTA) will be the Liberal candidate in Fraser Nicola riding for the May provincial election, the party announced Wednesday.
Jackie Tegart, in her third term as a Village of Ashcroft councillor, was BCSTA president in the mid-1990s. When she stepped down in 1995, she was replaced by former NDP leader Carole James. Tegart sought a Liberal nomination that same year but was unsuccessful.
