Unclaimed $1-million Lotto Max prize from Halloween 2015 about to expire

Even if you didn’t win the big jack-o-lantern jackpot, be sure to double check your Lotto Max tickets to make sure you’re not overlooking a $1-million treat from last Halloween.

A Maxmillions prize of $1 million remains unclaimed from the Oct. 30, 2015, draw, and the winner has until the end of the month to step forward before the ticket expires.

The ticket was sold in Burnaby and matched seven out of seven Maxmillions numbers to win the prize.

The B.C. Lottery Corp. is asking lottery players to check their “pockets, drawers and secret hiding places” to see if they hold the winning $1-million ticket. Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw to claim their prize.

Since 2006, only four major prizes have gone unclaimed, totalling $534,572.70. The largest of those four prizes was $219,912.60 in 2016. Each of those four winners matched five out of six or more numbers to win one of the secondary prizes. No top prize has ever gone unclaimed.
