Nearly one of every four large trucks inspected in an enforcement blitz in Vancouver on Wednesday were taken off the road.
The Vancouver Police Commercial Vehicle Unit was among several enforcement groups that conducted inspections of trucks and trailers travelling through the city, in order to reduce collisions and make the roads safer.
Of the 119 units (commercial vehicle or trailer) checked, 32 were immediately removed from the road due to significant defects.
Police said that just seven units had zero violations.
More inspections will be conducted Thursday.
