Local news media coverage about Angus, the BC springer spaniel being used at Vancouver General Hospital for superbug-sniffing duty caught the attention of CBS News in New York.
A crew from there flew to Vancouver soon after my story and video was published.

Hospital ID issued to Angus
CBS This Morning aired its really great segment on Angus today because, well, it’s National Dog Day.
In case you’re wondering, Angus hasn’t actually started work yet. His owner/handler, Teresa Zurberg (her name was misspelled by CBS) is still negotiating the terms of his work – and her compensation – with Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. But I’m told the terms should be finalized very soon and Angus will start work in September.
Perhaps to no one’s surprise, the media attention has catapulted Zurberg to fame as well. She’s been fielding inquiries from hospitals around the world about training dogs for them.
And she just happens to have another who will soon be ready for such hospital detective work – Angus’s brother, Dodger.
