Photos: Pets rescued after Strathcona building catches fire

Residents whose homes caught fire Friday in Strathcona got some relief when firefighters were able to rescue pets from their building.

The fire ignited at a two-story home in the 500-block of Prior Street.

Extra firefighters were brought in at around 1:20 p.m. when the blaze was re-categorized as a second-alarm fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
