Vancouver police are investigating a targeted shooting in the Downtown Eastside Wednesday evening that sent one man to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were called to Columbia and East Pender streets around 6:30 p.m. following reports of the shooting. Investigators arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound who was then taken to hospital.
Police say two suspects believed to be involved in the shooting have been arrested on West 12th Ave. near Discovery Street. They remain in custody.
“All three individuals are known to police. The shooting does appear targeted,” Sgt. Randy Fincham said in the news release.
The investigation is ongoing and further information will be shared when it becomes available he said.
