The future of Vancouver’s continuing education program, which offers courses ranging from bird watching to computerized accounting, is uncertain as the board of education looks for ways to trim spending next year by $7.9 million.
It’s the second year in a row that school district managers have recommended ending the program, which has been losing money despite charging fees for courses.
