It looks like the long weekend in Metro Vancouver will be mostly cloudy, but there’s good news for those heading outdoors. There’s no rain in the forecast.
Environment Canada says the Canada Day long weekend will start out cloudy on Friday with highs of 22 degrees C, and then the same again on Saturday.
Sunday may be a little sunnier, with a mix of sun and cloud, and temperature highs of 22 degrees C.
Meantime, it appears travellers are already getting a jump on their long weekend travel plans. BC Ferries is reporting that it is very busy at all major sailing terminals. As of 6:30 a.m., there was already a one sailing wait at Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay in Victoria, and the 10:20 a.m. Long Harbour ferry to the southern Gulf Islands was already full. Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo was 80 per cent full.
