A man and woman now face several drug and firearms charges after anti-gang police raided a White Rock drug lab in early May.

Frederic Wilson-Koonpackdee, 46, and Pardeep Grewal, 31, remain in custody until their next court appearance on June 3.

Wilson-Koonpackdee has a criminal history dating back almost 20 years. One source said he has drug trade connections all over B.C.

Wilson-Koonpackdee and Grewal lived in a rented home in the 800-block of Parker Avenue, just half a block from the White Rock waterfront.

On May 3, officers with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit arrived at the house to execute a search warrant.

Houghton said “various firearms and drug-related items were discovered” inside.

Wilson-Koonpackdee and Grewal are charged with one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl and one count each of possession of a prohibited device.

Wilson is also charged with five counts of possession of a firearm and six counts of breach of a firearms prohibition. Grewal faces two counts of breach of a firearms prohibition.

Houghton said additional charges are expected to be laid against both .

Wilson-Koonpackdee’s criminal record dates back to 1998 when he was convicted of uttering threats and fined $1,000. He is due in Vancouver Provincial Court Wednesday for a sentencing hearing on a 2012 trafficking case.

Grewal was convicted of possession for the purposes of trafficking in Jan. 2013 and got 12 months in jail. She was also convicted of two counts of breaching court conditions at the time.
