Vancouver police are investigating an apparent stranger attack on a young woman Thursday morning in East Vancouver.
Police said Friday that at about 4:30 a.m. an 18-year-old woman was walking along East 8th Avenue between Rupert and Renfrew Street, when she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her and pulled her to the ground.
The woman screamed and fought off her attacker, who fled the area.
A suspect has not yet been identified.
