A man is in hospital after he jumped out the window of a burning house in New Westminster early Wednesday morning.
New Westminster deputy fire chief John Hatch says fire crews were called out to a house fire in the Queensborough neighbourhood at about 2:15 a.m.
The fire was burning in the upper floor of the house. The man broke a window and jumped about four metres to the ground. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries and smoke inhalation.
Hatch says there were two other occupants in the house at the time. They were on the ground floor and made it out safely.
The fire is under investigation.
