A collision between two snowmobilers last week took the life of a 54-year-old Sparwood man.
The victim was with a group of seven sledders in a remote area south of Fernie when the collision happened on Thursday afternoon, according to RCMP.
Both he and the other person involved in the crash are described as experienced snowmobilers, and police say it appears to have been an accident.
The BC Coroners Service is investigating.
At least 16 snowmobilers have been killed in B.C. this year, including 13 who died in avalanches.
