A suspected drunk driver has B.C. Ferries’ Queen of Oak Bay running behind schedule tonight.

The ferry, which operates between Nanaimo’s Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, was operating 45 minutes behind schedule after a passenger notified police that a driver on the 5 p.m. sailing from Nanaimo appeared to be intoxicated.

Deborah Marshall, B.C. Ferries’ executive director of public affairs, said West Vancouver Police met the ferry at Horseshoe Bay. The vehicle was towed from the vessel.
