More charges against suspects in the Surrey-Delta gang conflict

Three young men are facing 18 new charges after an investigation into a drug trafficking group linked to a violent gang conflict in Surrey and Delta last year.

Davjit Singh Randhawa, 32, Chaten Singh Dhindsa, 20, and 21-year-old Jordan Singh Rana are all facing trafficking charges.

Rana is also charged with one count of obstructing a police officer.

“All three men are out of custody and will be summoned to appear in court at a later date. Court imposed conditions on the accused have been put in place to deter further criminal activity,” Const. Jordan McLellan, of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit said in a news release Thursday.

He said CFSEU worked with both Surrey RCMP and the Delta Police Department in the investigation of “a dial-a-dope drug line associated to individuals involved in the Surrey/Delta drug conflict.”

Search warrants were executed on Surrey residences, resulting in the seizure of cocaine, heroin and crystal methamphetamine and $7085.

Seven vehicles believed to be used to operate the drug line were also seized.

McLellan said a total of 28 people directly linked to the 2015 conflict have now been charged with 194 charges.

“The CFSEU-BC will continue to target and prosecute those groups or individuals who are involved in criminal activities within BC,” McLellan said.

“Having charges approved for these individuals will now hold them accountable for their actions which have negatively impacted the residents of Surrey and Delta.”

Surrey RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann said the on-going investigation remains “a top priority for the Surrey RCMP and our partners.”
