Our heavy gas tax and the lack of refineries in B.C. will always mean Vancouverites will pay a higher price at the pumps than our friends in Alberta … but this is ridiculous.
Twitter user @caseyFp shared the dramatic difference in a Tweet Tuesday.
Casey says he lives in Edmonton but enjoys sharing Alberta gas prices with his family and friends in B.C.
That’s awfully nice of him.
According to Gasbuddy.com, the average price of litre in Vancouver is $1.02 compared to 61 cents in Edmonton.
The national average is 85 cents per litre.
The current price for a barrel of crude oil is $29.370 US.
