B.C. Byelections: Where to vote in Mount Pleasant, Coquitlam-Burke Mountain

Voters in two Metro Vancouver ridings — Vancouver-Mount Pleasant and Coquitlam-Burke Mountain — head to the polls today for a pair of provincial byelections.

The byelections were called at the beginning of January to fill vacancies created last year when long-time New Democrat MLA Jenny Kwan ran successfully for the federal NDP, while Liberal Doug Horne failed in his bid to represent the Conservatives.

Five candidates in Vancouver-Mount Pleasant are vying to replace Kwan:
