I got to try out the PISA test at the Education Writers Association event about reporting on education in a global context Friday in Washington, D.C. The test is given to 15-year-olds around the world and is used to compare how students are able to apply what they’ve learned in math, science and reading. The latest results for PISA will be released next December. Can you solve these problems?
I also learned a new phrase at the conference: “PISA envy”: how low or average performing countries feel about the high achievers. If you want to read more about the conference, click here.
