A Surrey teen is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg after a shooting in the 12400-block of 100 Avenue Tuesday night.
Surrey RCMP S.Sgt. Joe Johal said police were called to the scene about 8:40 p.m. after reports of shots fired.
“Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year old male suffering from gunshot wound who has been transported to local area hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries,” he said in a release.
“Initial investigation has revealed that the male was approached by two males and one of the male shot him in the leg area. Officers conducted neighbourhood canvassing and spoke with several witnesses to obtain further information.”
He said the investigation is in its early stages.
Both suspects are described as white, between 17 and 22, about 5’10” tall and wearing dark clothes. Their faces were covered with scarves.
Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 604-599-0502.
