Whistler Blackcomb completes the kick-off of its 50th anniversary season on Thursday with the opening of Blackcomb Mountain for skiing and snowboarding.
The Peak2Peak Gondola, which connects Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain, will also start-up tomorrow along with six chairs running up Blackcomb.
Whistler Blackcomb, which has received 11 centimetres of snow over the last 48 hours, is reporting a snow base of 82 cm.
First upload for both mountains is 8:30 a.m. with the last download at 2:30 p.m.
Whistler Mountain opened to skiers last Thursday.
