A man is in hospital in serious condition after being stabbed inside the Byrd Pub in the Flamingo Hotel early Sunday.
Surrey RCMP S.Sgt. Murray Hedderson said the 911 calls came in about 1:35 a.m. reporting an altercation in the strip club at 10768 King George Blvd.
“Members of the Surrey RCMP attended to the scene, and located the injured male. The suspect that had stabbed the victim had fled from the pub prior to police attendance,” Hedderson said. “The injured male was transported to hospital by ambulance in serious condition.”
Police looking for possibly two suspects, he said, one of which was described as a white male, about 30, possibly with a beard. There was no description provided of the other suspect, but I have heard he is Mexican.
The victim tried to intervene to calm things down when the two suspects started an altercation with the victim’s friend.
Anyone with information is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
