It’s Back to the Future Day!
Yes indeed, Oct. 21, 2015, was the future date that Doc Brown and Marty McFly (along with Marty’s girlfriend who had turned into Elisabeth Shue) travelled to in Back to the Future II.
But don’t take my word for it, take the word of the 1,000 people posting this exact information in your Facebook feed.
Even Health Canada, yes boring old Health Canada, is having fun with the date.
I can’t imagine what may have prompted federal government workers to act so giddy, but on the Healthy Canadians website they have issued a prank recall notice for the Delorean DMC 12, Doc Brown’s ride.
“On a certain DMC-12 car converted into a time machine, a defect in the flux capacitor could lead to inability to travel through time while travelling at 88 miles per hour (141.6 km/h) and may increase energy consumption beyond 1.21 gigawatts. This could have disastrous consequences. Correction: Doc Brown will affect repairs.”
