The new year has brought with it an old battle over standardized testing.
A week from today, B.C. elementary schools will begin administering the Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA), which tests reading, writing and math skills in Grades 4 and 7. The tests take 4.5 hours and can be given to students any time between Jan. 14 and Feb. 22.
