Chambers Bay, the Tacoma-area golf course that will host this week’s U.S Open, looks like no other course that ever hosted the major tourney before.
Built on a reclaimed gravel quarry, Chambers Bay isn’t green and it isn’t lush.
The links-style course is proudly brown.
