David Chesney is off to an inauspicious start as a first-term councillor in White Rock.
The Peace Arch News reported Tuesday that the 63-year-old editor/publisher of the White Rock Sun, an online newspaper, has been censured by council for “publishing comments that city lawyers considered to be defamatory.” Mayor Wayne Baldwin announced that Chesney’s reprimand included being removed from city committees and the deputy-mayor rotation until January 2016.
