Miss P, a four-year-old beagle from Enderby, was named best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club in New York on Monday.
The mayor of Enderby is planning to honour the dog with a parade.
“It’s nice to know we have a beagle as our most famous person in Enderby,” said mayor Greg McCune, laughing. “We definitely will do something to honour the beagle.”
