Temporary art project towers over former Gastown Steam Clock site

One month and $19,500 later, Make It Rain stands tall on the corner of Water Street and Cambie Street in Gastown.

The public art installation — created by Vancouver architects/designers Jennifer Newsom Carruthers and Tom Carruthers — is taking up the space normally occupied by Gastown’s Steam Clock, while the iconic time piece undergoes some much-needed repairs.
