A convicted killer just four years away from being eligible for parole is now facing a new murder charge in the death of another inmate at Mission Institution.
James Darrell Saar has been charged with second degree murder in the slaying of Troy Robert Squires on December 2, 2011.
Sgt. Jennifer Pound, of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, said Squires was being held indefinitely as a dangerous offender at the time of his death.
