Update 11:01 a.m.: Const. Ken Usipiuk of the Delta Police says the fire is out. He expects the highway will re-open in 45 minutes.
Highway 17 ( South Fraser Perimeter Road) just east of Highway 99 has been closed to eastbound traffic as fire crews extinguish a vehicle fire.
Delta Police says a truck and trailer is fully engulfed. Expect delays.
Avoid the area if you can.
