The British Columbia Institute of Technology will be waiving tuition each year for up to five students who grew up in government care.
BCIT said the program starts this September and covers the cost of tuition, student fees, medical and dental and lab and material costs. The waiver applies towards a student’s first BCIT certificate or diploma in one of the top 10 skilled trades programs, including boilermaker, welder, carpenter and others.
